Random Acts Chicago is thrilled to announce its next theatrical event, an evening of sketch comedy called Awkward Family Gatherings. The world premiere will feature the talents of Colleen DeRosa, Garrett Lutz, Colleen O'Connor, and Random Acts company members Ayssette Muñoz, Bryan Renaud, Tommy Rivera-Vega, and Becca Russo. The two-night event will play at The Pendulum Space (1803 W. Byron Ave. in the North Center Theatre District) on December 12th and 13th at 8:30pm. More info after the jump! The writers behind the show include several members of the cast, whose other works include Barney the Elf, Ladies Night of the Living Dead, All Our Twilight, alongside work at The Annoyance, Second City, Chicago Sketchfest and the Chicago Improv Festival. The cast includes some of Chicago's brightest young performers. Ayssette Munoz was recently featured on Chris Jones' list of "10 Hot New Faces in Chicago Theatre." Bryan Renaud is currently performing the role of Barney in Barney the Elf with The Other Theatre Co. Garrett Lutz was nominated for the Joseph Jefferson Award in 2015 for his performance in Kokandy's The Full Monty. Tommy Rivera-Vega recently received rave reviews for his performance in Teatro Vista's Parachute Men. Becca Russo can currently be seen in Chicago Theatrework's We Gotta Bingo, Ben F. Locke recently worked with Theatre 7 and Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre, Colleen DeRosa is currently in the Director's Haven from Haven Theatre, and Colleen O'Connor recently wrapped The Rocky Horror Show at the Beverly Arts Center. www.randomactschicago.com
