In the latest installment of their “Escapism” series, Broken Nose Collective presents their first full length production, I’ll Be Seeing You. One man takes the stage to bear his soul. But he holds on to a secret. In an attempt to absolve himself, deny, or forgive, our unnamed hero sings his way through jazz standards and contemporary ballads. Magic fills the air as the cabaret transforms into a field where all of us can explore the ways, reasons, and repercussions of why we open ourselves to others in one moment and push them away in another.
I’ll Be Seeing You is written and performed by Kevin Jandrists (co-founder of Broken Nose Collective) and directed by Claire Bauman, featuring music from the Derrick Tate Connection. The production team is Jacob Chaparro (producer), KT Shivak (scenic and puppet design), Austin Dambacker (lighting design), and LeighAnn Jandrists (graphic design).
I’ll Be Seeing You opens at Mary’s Attic (5400 N Clark St) on Thursday November 2nd and runs Friday November 3, Saturday November 4, Monday November 6, Friday November 10, Saturday November 11, Wednesday November 15, Thursday November 16, and Friday November 17. All shows at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7. General admission, $15, tall boy seating, $20, and VIP Lounge, $50.
